First off let me start this blog off by being point blank with you… if you are a mother suffering with allergies this season just remember that no one in your family gives a crap! Seriously, the kids will still need to be bathed, fed, clothed, tended to and etc. So no point in having a pity party, do something about it! This is why I love RC (Rest and Congestion) essential oil. It will knock out the worst of the worst when it comes to allergies, congestion, snotty noses, coughing and so much more. It is a powerful blend of Spruce, Cypress, and three types of Eucalyptus oils (E. globulus, E. radiata, and E. citriodora). Eucalyptus oils are one of the strongest natural elements to fight off allergens, so you could say that RC is a super oil! There are several ways you can use this oil but I only use it two different ways. One way is to simply diffuse this oil when you start feeling that itchy throat, runny nose and watery eyes syndrome coming on. I especially diffuse RC at night with Lemon oil (which helps enhance the RC) and Lavender oil (which helps enhance RC because it’s a natural antihistamine). The second way I use this oil is by applying it topically. I apply it neat (not diluted) directly on my chest and neck. When using it on the kids I will dilute it with coconut oil and also mix Lemon and Frankincense oil with it. This helps to break up any chest congestion and rid the body of those allergen (and many other) toxins. So remember we all need some rest from our congestion which is why RC oil is so pivotal for this time of year! I mean, aren’t we so glad flu and cold season is through so we can enjoy this wonderful allergy season??? <- said no one ever! I don’t know about you guys but I tend to forget how awesome breathing out of both nostrils feels until one is swollen shut! RC oil is also found in the premium starter kit along with all of the other oils I’ve blogged about so far. Until then, find you a wine that pairs well with your allergies!
